A brief overview about myself.
I'm Amir, a data scientist and visual storyteller. I build models, dashboards and analytical systems, but my signature is the way I turn data into narratives. My visualisations have earned recognition in global open-data competitions and have been showcased at national exhibitions in Sri Lanka.
I graduated as Batch Topper with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Data Science from Coventry University. Over the past three and a half years, I have worked across the full data lifecycle, from data mining and cleaning to statistical modelling, machine learning and deployment. My strength is designing end-to-end analytical products and transforming raw data into polished, intuitive and decision-ready experiences.
Away from the keyboard, I am a lifelong Liverpool supporter. I have played competitively for both school and university teams, usually as a left-winger or centre-midfielder. Football taught me creativity, discipline and the importance of seeing the whole field. These lessons shape how I approach data today.
My core strengths include creative problem-solving, a strong instinct for data storytelling and design, and the ability to build and maintain cohesive analytics and visualisation product ecosystems. I am also well-versed in machine learning and enjoy applying it in meaningful, practical contexts.
At the moment, I am focused on sharpening my craft across new domains, creating aesthetic data stories, developing high-impact analytical products and expanding both my freelance and international opportunities.
